Today on Lets Talk we celebrate NAIDOC Week!

Kiana Charlton (M. Ed.) is a proud Goenpul Goori woman; her blood line connects her to Tjerrangeri (Stradbroke Island), Yuggera and Kubi Kubi country.   Kiana currently teaches Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies across 2 schools, ie Brisbane School of Distance Education and Dunwich Primary School (Stradbroke Island) plus has a part-time consultancy with the Goondeen Institute.

Kyle Bekue-Ryan is an invaluable member of Inala Wangarra’s Board where he volunteers his time. Kyle is always supportive and rhe first person to put his hand up to help out. Kyle is also currently completing his degree in medicine at the University of Queensland, after graduating from Glenala State High with an OP 1. Kyle is wise beyond his years and has been awarded QATSIF Young Achiever Award 2021 and 7News Young Achiever.

Both have been announced as finalists for this years Brisbane NAIDOC Awards.
