Every nation produces narratives about itself that speak to its sense of identity and nationhood. In the Australian context, there is an array of national narratives that purport to tell us something about the relationship between Indigenous and non- Indigenous Australians. But do these big stories speak to us in the same way? What did the national apology mean to you? Did one woman’s 400m gold medal run mean more to Indigenous Australians than thousands of people walking across a bridge or the PM losing her shoe? Big Story, Little Story invites us to consider how Australia’s big national narratives meet the everyday life experiences of Indigenous Australians. Hosted by Wesley Enoch, our eclectic panel share with us their personal reflections to illuminate the stories underneath these national narratives. Join the conversation and explore both the stories produced for and by Indigenous Australians.

Panellists: Uncle Graham Brady, Kaylah Truth, Matilda Bani and Shane Drahm
