Managing Bungoo

BIMA Projects/Managing Bungoo

Managing Bungoo is a radio series aimed at increasing the financial capabilities of First Nations people in south east Queensland.  The audio messages promote existing tools, resources and services that our mob can access, information on saving and budgeting and  the pitfalls of payday loans and email scams.

Managing Bungoo also introduces listeners to a new super hero,  Money Woman, in a series of skits about managing your bungoo.  Money Woman (aka Super Saving Sista, the Mighty Money Maiden, the Battler of Busted Bungoo) uses her financial know-how to assist people save their bungoo and avoid getting ripped off.  She faces off Nemesissy, Bludging Brother and some other unsavoury characters in the series.

Managing Bungoo was made possible through a grant by Financial Literacy Australia.
