This week on Let’s Talk Black Politics, Chelsea Watego & David Singh catch up with Dr. Raelene Nixon to talk about the struggle for #Justice4StevieLee. In this tough and important conversation, they listen to Raelene as she reflects on Steve’s life and death, her family’s ongoing struggle for truth, and the process of seeking justice for their beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, and uncle, Steven Nixon-McKellar, who died in police custody in 2021.

The episode ends with field recordings from the protest rally outside the Toowoomba Court precinct on Monday 11 September, including speeches from family members and supporters. The audio recording of these protests was generously provided by NITV.
