This week on Let’s Talk…The Arts, Rachael gets to know the incoming City Councillor for the Gabba ward, Arts and Creative Industries administrator & DJ, Trina Massey.
Trina is a proud queer women and immigrant of Filipino and African descent who grew up in Stafford, and is passionate about the political role of the arts, and the importance of supporting and sustaining artist.
Let’s Talk was lucky enough to be able to record one of Trina’s first one-on-one interviews in her new role as city councillor, and it’s a great opportunity to hear more about what she hopes to do with her seat on the Brisbane City Council, and why it’s so important to engage politically and strategically with the arts.
