Karen Dorante spoke with Cairns-based Aboriginal and Islander Alcohol Relief Service (AIARS), CEO Pat Thompson. They spoke about the organisation, the lost its two aged care homes after the Department of Health and Ageing closed the homes over concerns about resident's welfare and the center's closer because of financial problems.
