From Marvel comics to preserving Torres Strait Islander culture, emerging artist Tommy Pau talks to Karen Dorante about the influences behind his works of art. He also talks about his youth, formal educational experiences and learning Torres Strait Islander culture. He touches on his previous occupations which involved pearling and teaching. Tommy's first solo exhibition titled “Exploration of Mediums” is presently showing at the UMI Arts Exhibition Gallery in Cairns.
