VIEW ALL EPISODES

This week on Let’s Talk – Black Arts, Rachael brings us a timely and vital conversation with writer, educator, speaker and advocate Ashlee Donohue. Ashlee is a proud Dunghutti woman dedicated to anti-violence and anti-racist work across her diverse practice. Her work is focused on helping and encouraging people to take action towards changing the narrative and impact of violence and racism in all its forms through education and positive action.

In this powerful conversation, Rachael and Ashlee talk about Ashlee’s experience leaving a violent partnership and re-building herself and her life through education, writing, and advocacy. Ashlee shares her own experiences of working to unlearn patterns of behaviour and normalised ideas about violence from her own life, while fighting as hard as she can to build a community free from violence and racism.
