While HIV transmission rates drop in Australia, the spread in First Nations communities have jumped from 24 in 2024 to 37 in 2025.  This data was released by the Kirby Institute at the HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health joint conference this week.  Karen Dorante spoke to Rob Monaghan, manager of  the Yandamanjang First Nations Research Unit at Kirby Institute about the rise of HIV and STI’s in communities.
