On the back of last weeks announcement of a senate inquiry into racism against First Nations people a new report out says “It would take 118 years for Indigenous people in the workplace to never hear racial slurs or jokes of that nature at work”.

Gari Yala, is an Indigenous lead survey from the University of Technology Sydney and it’s found 60 percent of Indigenous employees experience racism in the workplace to discuss this and more Karen speaks with Katie Kiss who is the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner.

 

Gari Yala,  which means ‘speak the truth’ in the Wiradjuri language.
